Like all our products, cored wire feeders too are conceived in a way to fit the customer’s needs and so are characterized by a high level of customization.
Even if these machines are very simple from the manufacturing point of view, looking at the metallurgic angle they are rather complex and play a strategic role: in fact, by using them it is easy to make some mistakes that then, affecting the process in a negative way, can be fatal. ProService, thanks to the knowledge in cast iron metallurgy accrued during the years, builds strong and reliable plants, endowed with important prerogatives which distinguish them from the other machines on the market and which remedy to the most common problems linked to their use. Thus, for examples, our plants do not compress the powders, like on the opposite it usually happens, causing changes to their gain size distribution; they do not force on the sheath, in this way avoiding that it melts at different depths in the ladle; and, above all, they do not set themselves only by the sulphur content, that, considering the complexity of the nodularization process in the modern foundries, would be a limiting factor.
The cored wire feeder is manufactured by ProService in three different versions:
- Basic version: even if the simplest version, it is enough complete and manages up to 2 feeders in 3 different ways (manual, automatic and retroactioned); nevertheless, it is not completely independent since in the plant management it does not consider the physical variables (nucleation, carbides tendency, position in the Fe-C phase diagram, shrinkage tendency, etc…).
- VT (Thermal Verification) version: besides all the functions of the basic version, it includes all the functions of our thermal analysis software Itaca. In this way, the metallurgist can check, ladle by ladle, the produced casting and quickly intervene in case of anomalies. In this version the thermal parameters are not directly involved in the process control yet.
- IPC version: it has all the functions of the VT version, but it is able to manage in a total independent way all the machines. In practice, it decides by itself what amount of wire to put in on the grounds of the qualitative outcomes emerged from the monitoring by thermal-chemical analysis.
