The densimeters of the Density Sentinel (DS) series have been conceived to work in foundries, and in particular in the core-production plants and in the castings coating department. They can be used to measure the density of water and alcohol-based coating.
In most cases the density of coating is measured by bulb densimeter. Unlike this one, our device is not affected by the superficial tension of coating and works continuously, constantly following the density trend. Therefore the operator can adjust the introduction of water in the tank on the grounds of reliable data, and not only on the grounds of his experience. In fact, the common bulb densimeter does not allow a constant control in the tank and it only measures the density of the coating surface. On the other hand, our densimeter is designed to control the density at the wished dipping depth of the core.
The DS probe can be manufactured according to the shape of the tank and of the core to be coated and it is not affected by turbulences in the tanks.
