The growing productivity and the greater and greater requirements of quality, together with the high level of sophistication of today coatings, are driving many foundries to control this very tricky phase of the production process.
This is the reason why ProService has been committed for a long time in the research of new solutions to improve, monitor and control the process of moulds and cores dressing. In this field, our company offers a wide range of products, from the simple coating tanks to the complex plants for the coating preparation. In particular, two equipments, entirely conceived and manufactured by us, are particularly significant:
• Density Sentinel: it is a densimeter which continuously measures the density of foundry coatings. This product can be used merely as a measurement device inside a tank or can be part of an automatic coating preparation plant.
• Viscosity Sentinel: it is a viscosimeter for the discrete measurement of the dressing viscosity.
These two equipments constitute not only simple alternatives to the traditional measurement procedures, but they represent also high technology systems necessary for all foundries that want to control with very high precision the density and the viscosity of the coatings and, therefore, their overall quality (the double check of these two parameters allows, for example, to find possible bacterial attacks to coatings).
The densimeter Density Sentinel can also be placed directly inside the coating tanks, which are available in different models (dipping, at constant level, by flow) and completely adjustable to the size and functional needs of the customer.
On the other hand, the coating preparation plants, which grant a continuous production of wash (up to 800 kg/h), can be equipped with the control of both the above parameters and they represent the natural arrival point for those foundries which consider the dressing phase as a fundamental aspect of the foundry process.
