Somako

Founded in 1981 by Manfred Hirsch and Ludwig Attig in Oberderdingen, the company originally specialized in plant and automation concepts as well as in the design and development of electronic control systems for sheet-metal working applications.
Today, Somako is a leading supplier of flexible production lines and special machines for a varied range of the sheet-metal working industry, employing over 100 people at production facilities in Germany and Portugal. It is working also in the woodworking machinery branch, as well as in the control technology branch.
On April 1, 2007, Somako took over the BMD-Formtechnik as new business branch for forming and sand preparation lines from the company Disa. This branch specialized in the supply of original BMD spare parts, service, plant modernization and extensions.
As from April 1, 2007, ProService is Somako’s sole and exclusive agent for refurbishment, extension and modernization of horizontal tight flasks moulding systems/plants and their spare parts in the territory of Italy.
