It supplies customers with highly advanced software packages that bring both technical and economic benefits to the foundry. Using thermal analysis to monitor the metal quality and melting and treatment processes gives the foundryman vital information about molten metal quality in real-time.
ProService has developed Itaca for cast iron - a software package that instantly calculates the %Ceq, %C, %Si, evaluates the base iron and the final iron quality (tendency to form the main defects), and forecasts mechanical properties, etc.
As a result, the foundry is able to achieve dynamic control of the melting process and can either reduce the costs of charge and additives without affecting metal quality; or improve metal quality at the same cost with the ultimate benefits in mechanical properties and casting performance.
Itaca is available in four versions, that differ about functionalities, resumed in the chart here enclosed.
For aluminium foundries, ProService has developed Athena, a software package that, with a few clicks, predicts the metallic structure and provides useful information to improve the control of the melting process in all its stages.
