Becoming greener with green sand reclamation

Disposal of exhaust green sand is one of the most significant challenges faced by cast iron foundries nowadays. Exhaust sands represent a crucial issue in the management of foundry wastes, therefore the interest of processes aimed to the reclamation of exhaust foundry sands is increasingly nowadays.

Proservice has invested deeply in designing and realizing of a green sand reclamation plant that would maximize efficiency and minimize consumption.

The result of this hard work is the birth of the GREEN SAND THERMO-MECHANICAL RECLAMATION SYSTEM, a plant that combines an energetic mechanical action to exploit the friction between the sand grains and a high temperature treatment that carries out an ignition to remove all the residues of organic resins and catalysts.
